core proceedings
core proceedings
those proceedings that are inherent in and fundamental to the administration of a bankruptcy case. Core proceedings are subject to the jurisdiction of the bankruptcy court. Non-core proceedings may be conducted outside the jurisdiction of the bankruptcy court (Glossary of Common Bankruptcy Terms)

Those proceedings which are unique to bankruptcy and fundamental to the administration of the bankruptcy case. See 28 U.S.C. § 157(b) (SA-Bankruptcy.com)
